چکیده

In this paper, we construct an elaborate general equilibrium model with a continuum of production fragments for intermediate good, then embed it in growth to address the effects global fragmentation, vertical specialization and trade on inequality small developing country. Among other results, show that economy grows faster than rest world as result fragmentation intermediates if is skilled-labor scarce. We also such opening wage inequality.

Vertical Fragmentation For Advanced

Many object based systems exist that support some form of distribution. Optimal application performance on distributed object based systems demands accurate class fragmentation and the subsequent allocation of these fragments to distributed sites. Vertical fragmentation must minimize application execution time by splitting a class so that all class attributes and methods frequently accessed tog...

International Fragmentation, Specialization and Comparative Advantage: An Asian-Pacific Input-Output Approach

In this paper the relationship between three types of trade specialization is analyzed for the period 1990 to 2000. For nine East-Asian countries and the United States the developments in international fragmentation, export specialization and intra-industry specialization are investigated. Asian countries, and specifically China, now play a larger role in international trade. The formation of p...

Vertical Specialization in Multinational Firms*

In the recent decades, growth of overall world trade has been driven in large part by the rapid growth of trade in intermediate inputs. This input trade results in part from multinational firms choosing to outsource input processing to their foreign affiliates, thereby creating global production networks in which each actor is vertically specialized. In this paper, we use firm-level data on U.S...

A specialization for vertical disparity discontinuities.

Because our eyes are set apart horizontally in our head, most disparities between the retinal images are horizontal. However, vertical disparities also occur, and can influence depth perception. The classic example is Ogle's induced effect (K. N. Ogle, 1938), in which applying a uniform vertical magnification to one eye's image produces the illusion that the surface has been rotated around a ve...

The Rise of Vertical Specialization Trade

Vertical specialization (VS) trade, trade in goods that incorporate imported inputs, has grown rapidly since the 1960s. While the share of trade in inputs has not increased, the types of inputs traded have shifted from raw materials to manufactured parts. I argue that declining trade costs are an important explanation for these facts. I present a three stage vertical specialization trade model,...
